fridge cache

Post by bungee »

So, I have an old fridge currently sat on the drive. Single unit so I guess designed to be an under counter fridge.
I was thinking, given that where we live is fairly isolated I could bury it in the garden and move the log pile over it or if I was feeling adventurous one of the nearby fields in a hedgerow. With some earth over the top or one of the old broken pallets that's lying there allready it should make a decent airtight cache box. Any thoughts on this? Good idea or a waste of time?

It's a good idea, but think of using it as a root cellar too.

Like that idea. I'm guessing the fridge would need to be buried deeper though?

My first thought too. Perfect root cellar.
