Reason I have a few in my preps is years ago next door was hit by lightning which left overhanging bricks chimney pots and tiles... Dad works in construction and had hard hats piled high. We got there immediately after and isolated services and went searching for burning in the damaged loft with extinguishers..

For the sake of £3 these are much more comfortable and give lower side head protection compared to older types

Thinking storm and high wind debris. Or an explosion if you saw the gas explosion in derby at the weekend To working up ladders making it easy to find your clan in a crowd (think how police officers stand out with the "tit" hats) even protection against thrown objects in civil unrest.... or clearing icicles off the guttering in winter..)

They have the iso mounts for ear defenders too along with optional built in visors (evo3) .
