Help me choose my new BOV

I will be shortly changing jobs and have negotiated within my new package a 4x4 company vehicle. I have a £35,000 limit for the vehicle and spec within and would like suggestions for me to look at. I want to be able to have the following as a minimum:

4x4 capability
Diesel
Towing capacity
Economical
Suitable for family

I have already looked and so far I am leaning towards a VW Amarok but any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I will also be looking to add a folding bike of some description as a get home bike and would also like suggestions for those.

I used to have an L200 Warrior with automatic free wheel hubs. I never had a lot of faith in these because they would not engage if you were stuck with the front wheels not able to turn and that's why I'd not buy another one. I'm sure you've already checked the VW spec sheet and seen that the the Amarok's 4x4 system does not use FW hubs, it uses VW's 4Motion so if I was in your position, looking for a double cab, I'd say the Amarok is the only choice.

I'm sure some will say Defender 110 Double Cab is also an option.

Me, I'm after a Polaris Ranger 6x6....

This is what I was thinking. I've seen the reviews of the Amarok and when compared against the L200, Hilux etc it seems to do best overall.

Don't know about the 4 wd but folding bike... BROMPTON! No question. They are uk made and the best. I have two, one steel and one titanium. Both great.

Aussie spec land cruiser trooper carrier. Honestly 4x4 and economy don't go together.

i like the Freelander as a practical 4x4 its small so makes running round town easier and in the stix it can hold its own.. even tho on all the Landrover sites they refer to it as a GayLander id still have 1 over a disco or L200 anyday.. i havnt driven the VW so no idea what that 1s like but looks the part

Definitely looks the part, has a payload of about 1160kg and towing capacity of 3000kg I believe so I think I'm going to go for it.
