Tomato Powder

Post by fuppingbaxtard »

Just discovered one of the greatest preps ever.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tomato-Powder-C ... ZBJAQ5875N

Mixed with water, oil, garlic powder, pepper, chili flakes and onion... its a great pasta sauce. I prefer using the powder over canned tomato now, especially because it acts like an emulsifier with the olive oil.

Sounds good.

The Amazon reviews on the link seem to agree the product is great but the container is crap..... I think most of us could come up with some workable alternative ;)

I made my own and have to agree it is a fabulous prep addition. Dehydrate slices of tomatoes, remove seeds though as they are bitter, grind up in nutribullet/coffee grinder and place on greaseproof parchment paper for a second drying then carefully pour into a jar. Full of flavour!
