I'm also going to try Sweet Potatoes and Ginger in the polytunnel.

I am now at the stage with the plot where I have grown different varieties and those listed are the ones that do well on the allotment and have the flavour and keeping/ preserving characteristics we want.
All I have to do now is wait for spring......never was very patient.

What's your list like and how do you choose what to grow?

In answer to the opening question.......fatter. :D

Hopefully Her Maj is going to be more dynamic with the allotment this year, I've got her a couple of inspirational books (as suggested on this forum, perhaps by your good self) to spur her on. I'll do my bit with the heavy stuff but I'm very much the donkey when it comes to the allotment.

Oh my! I mostly rely on perennials - sorrel, wild garlic, lemon balm, quince, salad burnet, several berries (as well as dandelions!!!). I want to harvest the aloe vera, mahonia, the mint, the rosemary and the quince this year.

I've planted the garlic, and I want to grow chili, basil, courgettes, beetroot and kale.

Well I went a bit mad in 2015 and grew quinoa and oca, as well as Jerusalem artichokes, Welsh onions and Egyptian onions (walking onions).

2016 will see a return to more traditional veg, carrots, beetroot, new spuds, beans, peas, salad stuff. The perennials will still be there but the family weren't that keen.

I have also planted more raspberry canes, so hopefully should have a large crop. Also have red and black currants, apples, plums.

But I'm not a brilliant planner, I just tend to throw it all in and hope for the best!

Again this year , half the field 4 acres down to hay but as usual will be made into haylage , so electric fencing , fertilizer and need to spray for weeds this year with grazon this year .
Need to get on with a veg plot this year and get on top of the raspberry and bramble bushes .
And perhaps do my elderflower liqueur.
