I was sorting stuff out yesterday and I've got a reflective sunshade thing for the car window to keep it cool (not that it gets much use here in Wales) and I noticed is got a silver mylar sort of finish on the one side and a thin foamy sort of stuff on the other.
It occured to me it could be used as a sort of kipmat, so I put in cold ground and tried it. It actually works quite well, I put the mylar side down to stop it getting wet but it's miles better than the cold ground.
Just thought I'd share the idea.
