As anyone who has served in the army, or hike regulary will tell you, the best feeling in the world is putting on some nice warm toasty socks after getting all wet!
Basically in sumary remember to waterproof your grab bags and BOB's and also you can never have enough socks!
I`m knitting socks too, but can`t use a circular needle so they are done on two needles (then sewn with the knitting wool up the seam afterwards) as we get through a lot of socks here, given the climate and cold.
There's a good pattern for two needle socks, it came from a 1941 pattern "knit for the boys" - knitting for the forces. I will go and find the link... it makes very neat elegant socks RD.
Here you go - 3rd one, if you can get past the bathing suit without hysterics!
