Gorilla tape is more than just "posh American duct tape".

It borders on the miraculous.

I have used it to patch a leak in a rowboat, forgot it was there and two fishing trips latter remembered, suffered a mild heart attack at the thought of being in the middle of the lake floating only due to a gorillia tape patch, and made a proper repair immediately when I arrived home.

It was all I could do to peel the tape off the boat. It was practically a permanent bond.

I keep a roll in each of my vehicles and another in the workshop.

This stuff it to duct tape, what a Bently is to a bicycle.

Its sticky , it's not black

But in the end no matter of cost , colour , or indeed region of manufacture

It will always be known as black and nasty

'Black maskers' or 'Harry black maskers' in the Navy, I'm another massive fan of it and have a few rolls put away for a rainy day, I keep some in my wallet too.

Bought one of those fishing stoves - it may look dodgy, but its nice and solid and is awesome.
