Tinned meat at Tesco

Post by itsybitsy »

For all you Spam/tinned ham etc lovers out there, Tesco has currently got a 'Three for Two' offer on tinned meats. I have caved and bought some Princes Finest Corned Beef (100 percent prime beef & no crap, if I'm going to eat tinned meat it's going to have to be the good stuff).

That sounds good to me, you can never have too much spam stashed away :D . I've got to go there tomorrow so may pick up a few.

I was in Lidl yesterday and they had Frey Bentos tinned pies for 99p (about half price). If they are the same as the ones in Poundland a couple of weeks ago the BB dates range from the end of this year to 2013

No, no, no - I draw the line at tinned pies. I just can't bring myself to buy them! The corned beef was traumatic enough!

You won't like this then

Love the tinned meats section, Spam, Bacon Grill, Sausages in lard (I wish), Corned Beef, I eat it straight from the tin

Tinned meat is good storable protein.I love corned beef(just cos it's Prince Brand don't make it good)spam, luncheon meat, tin stew, mince and so on. Some may turn their noses up at it but it's there when you need it.What I will say is Tesco is expensive.Co op for luncheon meat,Aldi or Lidl for corned dog and tin stew and mince and Farm Foods or poundland for tinned bacon. And before you say I have no taste,I am a butcher by trade,I can eat fillet steak every day if I want!
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.
