Hi folks, ex forces( can you tell ?) Prone to capture units so subjected to relevant training until I got promoted enough to deliver it.
Read an article in the Telegraph. Thought Id see what you lot get up to.
Picked up a few top tips by trial and experience ( some hurt) wont say much unless I think its useless info.

Welcome to the forum, what kind of things are you prepping for ? 'Us lot' are pretty low key, have a swing through the forum and see if anything resonates.

hiya,
Guess Im a stay put prepper. Im out in the sticks so not much to run away from or to. Okay to sit things out for a few weeks. At my age, if its any longer I dont think I fancy being around.
Did a heck of a lot of combat survival, E&E training etc. After that you always have a weather eye on things.Still have the right gear for me and mine.
My main interest here is reading and maybe pass a few tips on.

Sounds good to me, welcome to the forum
I'm guessing you meant you wanted to pass on useful info?
That would be great from someone with your level of training. As you're out in the sticks, as you say, do you have a veg garden, that sort of thing?

Lol, not that far out.
Suffice to say I live in a mainly rural area, plenty of farming friends. Farming friends who offer mutual support. If the SHTF, we would probably move in with one to help with security.
I live close to old forest, mountains, sea, rivers and even a reservoir.
I've lived here 20 years, walked the county and noticed stuff. Side effect from Mil trg is you become hyperalert to important issues for survival and use of cover etc.
Top tip No.1 would be leave the city.

Re: New (old) member
Read some interesting stuff so far. A lot of folk with right attitude and ideas.
I guess a main point, already mentioned Probably,, is do it. Dont just read about it.
You wont know how you deal with things mentally if you dont put yourself under pressure. It's a bit lke being exposed to illness, the more you do the hardier you get
Try to be as basic as you can, it will make you innovative. You can also see how low you can get and still survive. You will be amazed and confidence will increase.
Hence the term ' Ive SURVIVED worse shite than this '
