Just remember that it needs some level of training to be able to do the above on a real casualty, if you haven't received any training don't attempt it.

Hi there,
That looks very advanced. Can you tell me if you are a professional medic?
Using a laryngoscope with intubation is still the gold standard and alot of theory and practical and live training is needed if you can become authorised for the advanced stuff, hopefully the patient will get to definitive care quite quickly.
Did you train for positive pressure ventilations with bag-valve-mask on air or 100 percent O2 as well?
Could you private message me where you did it, as it is pretty advanced stuff.
All the best,
janso

We were just being shown the necessary for SHTF no medics left or available type stuff, better to have a try than not and be able to say that we everything we did was an attempt to save the life of our comrade in a "Post fall" "Prepper" future.

The person training us is a fully qualified medic, field medic, Paramedic, Nurse, is trained in Wilderness and survival medicine and is currently writing a book on Wilderness and Survival Medicine.

It wasn't by any ways or means a weekend to walk away from with a "qualification", maybe a bit too advanced for some, but for many so is CPR and the use of an AED.

This is "prepping and survival" at a high end level though, and as lil has said, don't try this at home on the family!

We did it in a field, and wasn't an "organised course".

My knowledge of Airways is:

Etihad sponsor Man City
Emirates sponsor Arsenal
Ryan Air are an accident waiting to happen

And remember, the only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
