>>EDIT<<
Hi! I’m a newbie. Hmmm, how do I start? I should start at the beginning I guess. I’m 47 this year and most of my life I was not very responsible with my money. I always worked hard and paid my bills each month but, something happened a couple years ago that forced me in to bankruptcy. Right now i’m sat in my old bedroom at my parents place looking out the window thinking, “bankruptcy” saved me from a life enslaved to the system with debt. It was the best 530 quid I ever spent!
Things have been hard the last couple years as I try rebuilding my life (and it’s not going so well) but, I do have a plan. I’ve had lots of time just sitting and thinking about what is important in life and what I DONT need, i've just starting my own business, it’s very early days but i live in hope
In a way I’ve actually done a bit all ready on the wealth preservation side of things. I’m not wealthy but I put ALL my “hidden cash” into silver bullion after listing to people like Max Keiser/ Mike Maloney and, becoming increasingly concerned about the state of the world’s economy.
I’ve talked with my parents about prepping but they suffer from “normalcy bias” so, what can i do other than sort myself out and hope they come around. I’m skint most of the time so, prepping is not really something I can “seriously” do. However, I’m starting out with a BOB as that’s all I can do right now. I wish I could do more things like, well, everything you guys do but as I say, it’s not my house. I’m kinda stuck until I can get back on my feet or I wake up one morning, the current fiat money system has collapsed, silver has taken a moon shot then it’s some land and a log cabin for me but, as for pepping, it’s probably already too late at that point *sigh*
That's it for now, i'm sure i will around most days for a while

welcome SC, love that place - one of my most fav holiday destinations.

Yeah, it’s a lovely place but after 47 years it gets a bit old. I do have a couple nice spots that I love just sitting and looking at the views. I’d kinda like the other side for a few years now, maybe the rest of my life. A nice log cabin in Scotland would do me just fine, having said that, any place not surrounded by people and stresspreppingsu wrote:love that place - one of my most fav holiday destinations.

I think people right down south always love it up here because it's so empty. And our roads as well. Although a log cabin might be a bit bloody cold - we had last two winters at -20
