Lidl 2800 watt Petrol Generator £169

Post by Carrot Cruncher »

Just a quick heads up as it's not in the newsletter or on their website yet.

From Monday 25th April Lidl are selling the above for £169. It was in the catalogue I picked up today.

It looks like it is fairly similar to the one I picked up from Aldi last year, a very good price, heavy (42kg), and noisy.....but does the job very well

I think so. The biggest drawback (if it is similar to the aldi one) is the noise. If you can cope with that or have a way to quieten it then I would go for it. The wt is 42kg which is the same as mine so its not a light bit of kit but I'm glad I got my one.

CC what does 96db equate to?

Need to check the sockets they are two pin in the vid and also the cyclic rate to make sure it's 50hzand not 60hz.

But think we may add this to our preps.

I'm not sure what db rating mine is other than %^&^% loud :D . I'm soundproofing a small shed to house it as it would definitely annoy my neighbours if it was running for ages
