Started prepping for Brexit, built a brexit pantry, but we let our supplies go down a bit around Dec/Jan
Started again buying a bit extra when that cruise ship got stuck in Japan.
So yeah always been interested in prepping since a friend, many years ago, joined a religious group and was given a list of things to keep.
We are in at risk group so have been keeping low to zero contact, myself taking it very more seriously than Other Half. Got a delivery from supermarket a couple of days ago which I washed with disenfectant and soapy water before turfing all the outer packaging ..including egg box.
Just saying hello

Re: New from somewhere up north
Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Firstly have a good read before diving head first into a lifestyle change.
Store what you eat/eat what you store.
If you can cook look at individual items rather than the finished one, i.e. no bread in stores but plenty of yeast sugar and flour to make your own.
Try to stock up on medications you/family use both OTC and prescription.
Never forget comfort items whether that's chocolate, alcohol or a good book.
DO NOT PANIC, there is always time and always things you can do to make your life easier.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Welcome to the forum, I'm glad that you're managing to isolate a bit, as you're in an at risk group. I turf out the egg boxes too, and actually anything made of cardboard - for eggs, I keep them in hard plastic camping egg boxes.
