Question about OS Maps

Post by lumille »

I live in an area that is in between two cities (Nottingham and Derby). The OS Map cutoff lines is pretty much exactly where I live, meaning that both maps are relevant to me. My nearest city is Derby, as it's the one I know most areas of, but I'm unsure which map to get. Shall I buy them both? I'd rather not do that. What do you do in situations such as this?

I would buy a 1:25 000 scale and 1:50 000 scale of the area you live. I have them for my area,

https://getoutside.ordnancesurvey.co.uk ... ap-scales/

The 1 in 50 000 is to get me home, the 1 in 25 000 is marked/highlighted with fruit trees, underground bunkers, allotments etc
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

That is good advice, thank you. I will take a look.
