I use seeds in my oat mix breakfast that are not cheap cheap but very good for you.
Yesterday in home barginine I spotted a large bag of bird seed food much less expensive than my Aldi supply.

So can you eat bird seed thay seem to be the same seeds as for human consumption.

Feedback from birdseed manufacturers is variable, I have to say. I'm a long term vegetarian, and found the website healthysupplies.co.uk from another prepper, used them for about 6 years now.

As an example, 2kg of organic pumpkin seeds, which I use in my morning porridge, is £13. I think that's good value. And I've never had a problem with what they sent, though their delivery windows aren't exactly tight, that's down to the transport firm, and Healthy Supplies must be a comparatively small firm. I've got an order in with them at the moment, should be delivered in the next 3 days.

Generally,bird seed is processed and bagged in environments where human food would not be. I buy all my aviary bird seed in bulk,and the shed where it is kept at the shop always has mouse problems.I’ll leave it with you.

Another possible human food supplier for seeds is GrapeTree (online or in store). I buy mine there in bulk as part of a quarterly order. Currently the omega seed mix is £5.50 for 2Kg.

Wow that's cheap I'm not sure if could eat all those before they went off.
