Dilemma!
Moved to this house back in April. Got some raised beds going and they're actually being quite productive.
Sadly/happily saw a deer in the field opposite this morning so now have the dilemma of whether to try and protect the veg with ridiculous fences or view the deer as a potential source of protein in event of TEOWAKI
A guy i work for has had a problem with deer getting into the garden. It's ornamental rather than veggies and they've made a right mess of some of the conifers. He hasn't had any incusions for a little while however. The only thing that has changed is that he has put a life sized plastic gorilla in the garden. Could be a coincidence rather than causality as I doubt a deer knows what a gorilla is but either way....

Now I really, really want a plastic gorilla. Or an orangutan, that would be fine too Probably not plastic, actually, but ... I know, a mosaic of a gorilla, I used to want to get into mosaic making
I'll admit to being a little , how shall we say , hirsute and my daughter took a photo of me crouching in the same pose next to the gorilla. You'll have to imagine it unfortunately..
