Steptoe, there is no link to the item in your post.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Re: Your Advice on this
I'm still not genned up on it, so I always follow threads like this
but that item puzzles me. What does it do, exactly? It says its a battery box, but under the "Features" listing, it says its a box only, it contains no batteries. Further up the page, towards the top, under "Description", it says "Creative Design,Durable Material,Beautiful Appearance". I don't get it. It's like somebody's gone really steampunk on battery storage!
Re: Your Advice on this
HI you can put a battery inside the box , these are like the boxes you seen on the front of caravans to power the electrics , now this one has the added usb sockets and can be charged from a solar panel , another member here pointed me to a little device that converts your batteries for power tools to usb sockets to charge small items or as i am hoping to run 5w led lights , i am just looking to build other back ups , i have paraffin lamps i have wind up lamps i have battery lamps but this would be a power bank as such and i could then run a few lights off it , ie usb 5w led bulbs , i can may be keep 2 of these units in the garage and if the power goes out for any leangth of time bring it in sit it in the room and hook the lights up and have a good power bank that will last longer than just a couple of hours like the small banks do , i am looking at 130amp lithium batterys or if not a deep cycle leisure battery 130amp again .
hope that explains it al ittle , i am just wondering if anyone has tried these and what the build quaility is like , as i said i can make a box out of ply wood and fit a lid have drop out air holes in it and fit some usb sockets to it but by the time i do it all and money wise i am going to be spending a fair bit to build it when i am hope these are good enough to use

Re: Your Advice on this
Steptoe what you have there is a ready made box for you to stick your own battery in.There is a12v cigarette socket and two usb charging points. There is a12v take off connector on the outside for you to wire in either a panel or inverter,it also has a monitor to show charge.I have made my own version of these. You can easily wire in a inverter, once you get a battery and secure it to the box.Remember to fuse this.I have one that i recharge from a portable suitcase 100w panel and i have fitted Anderson connectors to make it easy to connect disconnect.Mine is basically a cheap homemade version of a Jackery,Bluetti but much heavier.
