Wow that is a good price i kep looking at these but the wife says no lol , we have our standard double over and the bottom is fan assit , we also have a slow cooker and also a halogen oven but i keep reading so many good things about these type , i just wonder on the power used by them , i am guessing it would be far less than the oven due to the fact less space to heat

Definitely. Also they heat up a lot quicker - you don't even really need to pre-heat. Mine is 10 litres, with a window so you can see how things are doing. Cost me £86. It's good, but I prefer the normal oven for pizzas.

Cost is based on power used, the Asda is 2Kw so about 60p an hour if its continually heating which is cheaper than an electric oven but more expensive than a gas oven.

It's all swings and roundabouts they seem to run the element more than a domestic electric oven once it's upto temp .. smaller cavity and less insulation most ovens are wrapped behind the inner lining and the outer skin with rockwool or glass fiber

Bigger batches / large family probably cheaper to use the main oven
