We have one. And a microwave. And an oven. All electric. So the air fryer and microwave are swift, which means less electricity. Works for us. :D

Iv microwaved my grub for some time now almost never using my oven and rings.

Hope I'm saving cash as all in one pot meals are getting tedious.

One pot meals suit us nicely, although such things as bread/ salad are added separately. Here’s a good site:https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/collections/1_dinners

Yes, a larger one, like a mini-oven. I use it for a lot of things, but pizzas I still do in the oven.

I have a small one bought out of curiosity (had some John Lewis vouchers and couldn't afford a B&O hifi) . Does oven chips, sausages, roasties etc a bit better and cheaper than the oven.
Thinking about getting a bigger one.

Like anything you want something out you have to put something in

There's no free lunch so to speak

Most people don't seem to realise that most Integrated electric ovens run on a 13a plug behind the unit....

Are better insulated than the magic air frier which just about runs the element constantly to maintain the required temperature

I've been half keeping my eye open for a caravan LPG oven to play with via the refillable lpg bottle which is something about 95p per litre
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

The beauty of the air fryer ( and we have a bigger one now) is its speed. Sure,it’s using the same electric as our oven, but it is faster,so that is less juice. ;) I am going to make a bacon sarnie in a bit ,after my second brew  and I use the microwave. It takes 3.75 minutes! Far quicker-and cleaner- than frying it on the stove. ;) Electricity is interesting.

Right now I am doing this and supping tea in my armchair next to an infra red panel heater. Lovely and warm - and unlike my body builder neighbour,I wear clothes! We don’t have gas central heating like our neighbours - but they all moan about the cost of it! We heat what we need to,for as long as we want to. It works, and it’s working out pretty reasonably, cost- wise. How long something is switched on sure makes a difference.

Cooking is the same. Which is why we like the air fryer. Indeed,as I remodel our galley - kitchen,we are going to a standard sized cooker. For the last dozen or so years ,we have used a big range- style job ,and we need it no longer. And it’s more to clean! Things change, and the microwave is about to cook me a bacon sandwich!
