Re: LSG Book and E-Book
yes the subjects covered are freely avaiable on the web.Got both e books ok but the info they contain, frankly is freely available on the web.
but i would rather have it in a ready to grab book or e-book than carring out hours of searches and having reems of reems of printed pages lying around.
a book you can pick up and flip through,
try looking for something you printed off ages ago through a stack of pages 10 inches tall.
Re: LSG Book and E-Book
I have both (hard copies) and they're a great resource. Looking forward to seeing the third in the series. Highly recommended!

I agree totally!but as a prepper I thought I MIGHT see something new.The information contained should be understood before the event.luxor wrote:yes the subjects covered are freely avaiable on the web.Got both e books ok but the info they contain, frankly is freely available on the web.

Also a lot of it is Amero-centric.We don't make jerky in this country, and what's the point in making soap? It's cheap as chips, easy to store forever. If you cannot get soap after the event, where will you get the chemicals?
Handle those chemicals wrong and you will have no skin to wash!
I have both volumes, and they both have their uses, but I would NOT call them comprehensive by any means.Nor would I recommend then to anyone who has been into prepping for any length of time.
That is MY opinion of course.

Fat, Lye and water are the three ingredients needed, all easily obtainable.
And Lye is made using wood ash and water, just in case anyone is wondering

I look forward to reading your books which will of course be full of NEW stuff that none of us has seen before, have you links to them?I agree totally!but as a prepper I thought I MIGHT see something new.The information contained should be understood before the event.
A look at this forum might show otherwise http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/search ... id=2517131Also a lot of it is Amero-centric.We don't make jerky in this country
A lot of people have dehydrated meats as snack foods when out on their wanderings, and making it is so much cheaper than buying it in low weight bags at exorbitant prices.

I *love* peppered beef jerky.. YUM!
