Evening fellow preppers!
I've just signed up for this site as UK preppers and US preppers are a bit apart. I've spent many hours on US sites but they have different legalities and I've found they mainly focus on weapons, which will never be the answer in the UK (unless it's a zombie apocalypse in which case I'll probably have to cannibalise the office guillotine or a sharp pencil!) I'm looking for reliable, sensible choices for any event that might befall the UK, especially in this day and age when the clock is creeping ever closer to midnight. (If you want to be more zombie-conspiritorial PM me but I've read the rules and it probably doesn't apply on this site so keep it private). Seriously, I'm hoping to find some fellow minded people who like to be prepared for any eventuality. I had a BOB but the house burned down in 2023 so embarrassingly I have to admit it was the last thing I thought about grabbing on the way out! Even my shoes were on fire! I was more concerned getting the neighbouring kids out the house! I always thought I'd be calm in a crisis but you never know until it happens. So even more I want to be prepared for any eventuality. Thanks guys. Look forward to chatting...
Hi guys!
Re: Hi guys!
Hi from Manchester. Sorry to hear about your fire, glad you got out. How did it start?
Re: Hi guys!
Hi and Welcome.
I am glad you chose the kids over the BoB!
Have a good look round, ask questions and share what you have learned and you will settle right in.

Re: Hi guys!
Welcome to the forum! As the others have said, choosing children over your BOB is a no-brainer, so you made the right choice
The biggest thing in zombies is the trailer for 28 Years Later, just released onto You Tube, which has a fantastic cast list, so some of us are definitely on board with that

Re: Hi guys!
Hi and welcome from Cheshire. We tend to be more inclined to bug in or bug elsewhere rather than head for the woods. Personally I always advocate an extended pantry and a small stash of cash. That mix covers a multitude of eventualities at no real cost. Then add in a way of heating food and self, and we are ahead of our unprepared neighbours. The nuclear clock is one we can't do much about, so get in some chocolate and gin for a final party
Anyways don't be shy. I look forward to your contributions.

Graceful Degradation! Prepping's objective summed up in two words. Turning Disaster into Mild Inconvenience by the power of fore-thought

Hi, and welcome to the forum. You've given it all thought, which is an essential first step. Good luck with the prepping!
