If you can't easily get hold of compost and other gardening essentials like manure, fertiliser etc. I found a site with pretty good prices including delivery to most of mainland UK - very useful if you can't drive/don't have a car :D

Brilliant thanks. I can't get heavy bags of compost because the boot of the car is tiny, and my OH cant do heavy lifting because of his heart. I have to the buy tiny dear ones from supermarkets and it bugs me

Or... get every green bit of plant and add humanure. Leave brewing for two years and all pathogens are dead and you have rich manure.
Doesn't hurt to empty the gazunder over it from time to time as well.

Hiya Lil  And to stay on topic, I hope that when I do pass on, they'll bury me in the garden and plant a tree on top. Fruit- or nuttree.
Do something useful for a change
