Leeks
Got quite a lot of leeks, wondering what to do next. How to preserve them and recipes to use them in . Anybody got any ideas?

Re: Leeks
You don't need to preserve leeks-just dig them when needed .Why make work?

Take a couple of large leeks, par boil for 5 mins, drain, wrap a slice of ham round each, cover in cheese sauce and bake for half an hour.Serve with mash spud-Bang-On!

O that soundss ok, will try that jansman. I thought they went to seed if you left them too long, that's why I was asking.
Re: Leeks
As you are so far north, they will go to seed about April/May.But...you could save the seed when they have flowered.Look it up.You only need to leave 6 in the ground.
