Just joined the site after a bit of soul searching. I still have a bit of a laugh at 'conspiracy theories' but I do know for a fact that there are powers at work over which we, the common man, have no control.
I do not consider 'preperation' to be in any way part of any CT network or anything. Having studied other countries poplitical and social systems, as well as our own, I've come to the conclusion that sooner or later things will come to a head.
I stock up a little on canned foods, Freeze-dried products and other non perishable stuff, but apart from that I can't really think of what would be absolutely essential to my having a reasonable way of life after any EVENT, and that's why I've joined this!
What I can't get my head around is "if every country worth considering is deep in debt, who is the final recipient of all the debts?

Food is a great starting point in your preps. There are threads here that cover water, food, alternative heating/lighting/cooking facilities as well as Bugging Out (including BOB's, that is Bug Out Bags) versus Bugging in in case of emergencies.
There is plenty of stuff to get your teeth into. Start reading and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. We all had to start somewhere!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.I personaly believe The uk along with the rest of the eu and the usa are heading for total melt down and hyper inflation.Once it starts imo it will just snowball.In this country we are dependant on imports to sustain oursleves.The way i see it if you eat food(we all do lol) then you need a food store.Off course you dont just want to eat from your store only.You need to suplimet this with hunting/trapping and producing your own food and only break into your store when you have no other option.This of course is in SHTF scenario.You should eat and replace stuff from your store to keep things fresh(pre SHTF).While i grow alot of my own food,hunt/catch a fair amount of my own food my food store still needs alot of work but i only started it last year.There are many many more things we need alot of which are mentioned in this very informative forum which is why im here,to learn from others who know alot more than myself.I also have certain things burried in the woods and countryside aroung my locality,mainly,means for shelter building,cooking implimets,hurricane lamps,parrafin,meths and a little food but i need a lot more.Some time i would also like to build a couple of well hid permanent camps,possibly underground but for this i would need help but my 3 boys twins 10,youngest 9yrs will soon be of an age to help me with this.Somehow i cant see my 14 yr old daughter being up for the latter lol.Kind regards dfw.
