hi all
any other vegans on here?
many other vegans here?
Re: many other vegans here?
I am indeed, and very proud of it too! (Although I eat my chicken's eggs, but I won't eat any other eggs or anything else that has egg products in it. I only eat them because I rescued the chickens and they lay. When they stop laying, I won't have any more eggs. I sell most of them anyway).
I'm pretty sure Hobochanga is vegan too.
That's quite a high percentage of this board's prepper population. I think this is because vegans are enlightened souls who have had to make very independent decisions to go against the mainstream and stick to it
GO VEGANS!!!!!!
VEGANS ROCK OH YEAH!!!!!!

Couple of Romulans, the odd borg, a Jedi knight plus SmileyT who is in a league (or world) of her own
Re: many other vegans here?
Yep, guilty as charged. The full works....i won't even talk to you unless you take your leather shoes off.
Re: many other vegans here?
On and off vegan here. Ideally would be permanently vegan but I don't enjoy cooking, so often won't eat rather than make the effort to have a balanced diet, end up losing weight then making it up with cheese, eggs and mackerel.
I'm not comfortable with using animals on a large scale because of the cruelties which inevitably arise. Though I'm not against anyone else eating animals, it's just something which I am OK to live without because there are plenty of alternatives.
However, when you're hungry principles go out the window and you'll eat anything. Anyone who says "I won't eat x" has never been truly hungry.

Although I am ultra-vegan I do accept that one day I may need to resort to eating whatever is going.
I horrify my friends when I tell them I intend to learn the skill of prepping wabbits etc for the pot. Am hoping this will happen in Spring next year....

My thoughts as well. At the moment being veggie/vegan is a choice that can be made due to the readily available alternatives. If TS ever HTF then in most (?) cases i think the survival instinct would kick in.hobo wrote:Although I am ultra-vegan I do accept that one day I may need to resort to eating whatever is going.

I was a veggie for quite a few years in my twenties but I chose to start eating free range or organic meat. It is a lot more expensive than factory farmed meat but it doesn't cost me any more as I just eat less of it.
