Winter Health Box

Post by preppingsu »

I'm just trying to suggest to my SIL about keeping some items in a box for when they are ill (and they are an ill family!!)

so far I have:
pain relief (paracetamol or you're preferred choice)
Calpol
Lemsips
Nice tissues (nothing worse than a sore nose)
Dioralyte sachets
Anti bac gel
Anti bac toilet wipes (in case of stomach upset)
Bleach
Any cough syrup etc that you find helps (personally I never find anything thats any good but I do like fishermens friends!)

Can you think of anything else that might be helpful for coughs/colds/stomach upsets etc

Good idea....I hate it when you've been stocking up and then go down with some lurgy or other that you just haven't got anything useful to take.
I would add Strepsils - they're useful and tend to cost a lot more if you dash to a local shop.
What about a bottle of Eucalyptus oil?
Imodium?
Vit C tablets?

Emergency dental kit containing amongst other things, temporary tooth filling and crown replacer for when you can't have immediate access to a dentist.

Have you tried those out RD? If so, how effective are they? I've heard mixed reports...
