nuther southerner ;)

Post by TomW »

Hello all!

Glad to find some uk prepping sites after browsing a lot of US ones. Been picking up some great tips and new avenues of thinking.

Based near Ashford in Kent, have been interested in 'survival' for many years but have more recently become concerned with what if scenarios. Started having a browse round the net and discovered the prepping community. Have started to prep in a few small ways but am still figuring out the basic plans. Im not too concerned about Zombies or the end of the mayan calender and more want to be safe when the snow comes down. However Be Prepared is a good mantra and with our increasingly active sun and gloomy financial futures I believe that prepping for longer term events might be wise.

Looking forward to chatting to you all,

Tom

I dunno, normal might be going a bit far but I'm sure I don't fall into the tinfoil brigade! :tinfoil (love this btw ;) )

Thanks for the really warm welcome! Also glad that I'm not the only one in the area, I had a feeling you were this direction for some reason scoobie think it must have been in another thread. :)

Hi Tom

I m Ben and i m from South East close to Brighton...i been preparing for a while and like you said not against zombies but serious issues around the world what can couse some serious problems 4 us all...problem is we are on an island thats over populated already and seein recent riots thinkin what if shops for food shut it would be madness on the street...tryin to find preppers close to my area to possibly team up and share information becouse i dont got a boat and bein stuck on an island aint a good idea so i guess bigger and prepared team is better our chances...
anywayz lookin 4ward to your reply...take care
