Hi this is my first post, and ive been a serious prepper for over a year, and would like to get in contact with other preppers in my area.

What made you start prepping in the first place??

I started prepping over a year ago, and got hook by accident watching utube, I work in IT and im not a doomsday believer but i do believe a solar flare will affect us maybe at the end 2012 to the early part of 2013 giving us a fresh start. We have started back to basics rearing our own food ie. pigs chickens cows and veg as we have a small holding, We go shooting daily and we only kill what we can eat.
It would be great to get in touch with other local preppers.

Would love to hear your thoughts on how a solar flare is going to give us a fresh start?

What sort of acreage is your small holding, it was and still is a dream for many to have an acre apiece so we might get a chance of getting closer to being more self sustaining.
