Hi all, my name is Scott I’m from Essex / London border and thought I would join up to a site with people that have the same mind-set as me. I started prepping about a year ago by looking up survival techniques and trawling the internet. The American web sites just didn’t fit in with what I needed although some of the ideas they have are pretty decent but other than the fact I don’t have a Wal-Mart that will sell me depleted uranium artillery shells at a bargain price! I found it hard to adapt a lot of their prepping skills to my advantage either through inability to own what they have and even down to the nature around them.
Recently I have had the urge to get things sorted. I have 2 bug out bags 90 litre Bergan’s with most of the kit I’m going to need although I keep on adding to it I have at least 3 months provisions for my family and I’m still adding to that a little bit every week seems to do the trick. My family really enjoy archery and we try to fit it in a much as possible, keep the practice up.
What has taken up my interest at the moment is wildlife and plants. The amount I have learned is incredible I never realised how providing each of our seasons could be. I even put some into practice this year on a camping trip and surprised my wife by going to a tree and getting a litre of sweet tasting sap out of it in just over a night. Anyway I'm rambling now so hi to all I will look forward to posting on these forums

Brilliant! well done, that sounds good re the wild food bit. I think that such a lot of knowledge has been lost in that area. (was going to say field but cringed at the pun )

Cool man
I am definitely interested in what you might now about plants. i know the basics of autumnal fungi, and cultivated herbs for medicine, but the more wild stuff you can share with us the better.
If we all pool our knowledge we will all get wiser.
