Candles

Post by Technik »

What's the best place to buy candles? I've seen the Ikea ones that come in a 10 pack for around £5 and seem pretty good. I'm especially interested in the dinner candles to fit in my candle holders.

I got 365 for a fiver at a local charity shop.

I would also say Ikea is a good place to go, but the tea-lights are cheaper than normal candles, bulk buying also helps.

Look out for special offers in places like Dunelm, we got a bag full a few years back when they were half price.

B+M
99p Stores.
But the offers are variable and you need to carry on prowling to make sure you can get the deals.

I also thought that I may have a look at a car boot sale but that's a hit and miss kind of thing.

So are the budget shops and the charity shops, but you go into them and just see, taking in mind your goals.

You'll find bulk standard candles in many supermarkets, around £1 for a pack of six. Not dinner candles as such but they'll fit into most candlestick holders. Charity shops are great places for buying old candlestick holders, might not get a matching pair but you never know.

Wait until the shops are flogging orft their crimbo stock. Get a shed load of BIG candles on the cheap or even small ones to melt down and cast your own 2 or 3 wickers from.
