Interested in Transition and Sustainability

Post by bhakta »

Hi not a Prepper yet, but interested in transition communities and sustainable living. Some commonalities. Having lived and worked in developing countries off grid & during civil war I have had some hands on experience of Prepping ( although we didn't call it that) I guess lesson number one for me is when the fabric of society starts to come apart your best chance of coming through will be as part of a community.

There is a chap on youtube called EastTenneseePrepper or something like that. He tried a short term trial run of SHTF without touching his stored foods and just going out every day and hunting. He couldn't do it. Did his leg in and got ill. One thing he forgot is that a community has many more hands and many more skills than one singular man looking after himself and his family in a SHTF scenario.
