A list of what you have in your kit would be great ... you can compare it with the ideal list here :viewtopic.php?f=17&t=758

:) looks good tho

Well it is a start,

A 72 hour camping kit will have to cover plenty of things though.

Something to sleep in/on/under
Something to cook in/on/with
Something to drink, water?
Something to eat, food?
Something to see with at night, in the day
Something to cut with and to sharpen with
Spare clothing
Wash kit/hygeine kit
Comms kit
Three days of food and drinks

Can you list what you think you need?

And just to wind Skippy up, there is no perfect list ;)

How about vacuum packed tea bags + sugar / sweetener and if you take it, powdered milk?
Definitely think about some high calorific energy foods too that can be stored with ease and eaten with no preparation time. Humans like oral satisfaction when they are stressed.
Also, the kit is very practical. What about anything for comfort? I would probably pack one of my smaller catapults as that can be a comfort thing to fiddle with in my pocket as well a a potentially useful thing too.
How about maps? navigation equipment? No point in getting disorientated as you get over tired.
Signal mirrors? Whistles? Flares?
Water filter in case you are out longer? (i know that one is getting over the top, but it depends on what scenarios you can envisage)

George - I think you're off to a great start. Don't let all this extra stuff overwhelm you. Just add to it a bit at a time, as and when you can.
