I have a problem with my Genny it starts and runs perfectly! Runs 240V upto 900W but the 12V side is unreadable! All my test meters and multimeters are not reading! The only stable reading I got was 70V so I put it on load and it's above 40V and killed my 12V kettle in the process!
(kettle rated at 7A / 12 DC output is rated at 10A)
I think it's clucked? Any ideas?

Re: Genny problem!
So if I get what you are saying ...its producing 70v from the 12 volt output>???
if so .. then the voltage regulator is *@'?**ed.
Its a small part and will prob still be available if its worth getting fixed. Not knowing the age, value of the genny I couldnt make a call on that.

Re: Genny problem!
Just checking for user error
its not unknown for people to change plugs to put in the 110v outlet. Mire common with the blue 16amp cables though
Is it a new one?

Haha! That's fair but it's not a complex gen! 1 240 standard socket one 12v plug
-choke
-run on off
-fuel cut off
-pull cord
-2 reset buttons for overload protection!
Researching used diesel sets! (expensive)
