Just about finished reading this and highly reccomend it.
It's about the psychology of survival, as the tagline says "who lives, who dies, and why." Takes a deep look at how the brain works in processing the world around us and reacts to situations. Well illustrated with tales of unlikely survival, some you may have already come across and some new ones. You will hopefully recognize some of the qualities he describes as making a survivor. Whether you do or not, it will certainly teach you how to develop your survival instincts and improve your chances on a daily basis.
It's not a survival manual, bar some tips in the last chapter, and while quite scientific in places, he does an excellent job of explaining without baffling. Well worth a read.
