so me and the oh were having a day out in cwmcarn forest drive walking the dog and we popped into the visitor as you do and of course they sold the book but advertised it now being an iphone app so those with one maybe have a look:) just letting you all know if anyone has a look let us know what it's like

The SAS Survival Guide as an app has been around since March 2010 and is $5.99 in Apple store for the full version and also there is a 'Lite' which is free.

Being a skinflint I have not bought the full version so I will leave that to others. The reviews are positive, but they always are for purchased items (called 'post purchasing justification')

The free one is worth every penny you spend on it, drastically cut down but of interest for a quick read I suppose.

Buy the books, even make me an offer for my set of three, they just sit on the shelf these days.

haha! 2010 well i must be under a rock! thanks anyway ian i've got the book thanks a pocket one in my last resort tin thing and a bigger one that collects dust on the book shelf.
