A great article on SurvivalMom considering an urban BOB, if you were evacuating to a travelogde or such like.

Urban BOB
Re: Urban BOB
Thats a really good article! And when I get up from the computer, the very first thing I'm going to do is make sure I've got lots of hand sanitizer in my hotel room bug out bag - thats a really good point about how germ-ridden hotel rooms can be. The rest of it bears careful study too, thanks preppingsu.
Re: Urban BOB
What a well grounded article! THIS is my idea of evacuation, and that word is deliberate. Bug Out is a military term. I am not going to do an impression of Rambo or( dread the thought) Bear Grylls!
An article well worth the read , thankyou.

Thanks for posting.
Good idea about the rolls of coins for machines. I'll steal that idea.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: Urban BOB
Which coins are most useful in this context, pseudonym, 50p and 20p?
Re: Urban BOB
£2 coins fit nicely in those old fashioned 35mm film canisters and are my choice of cash store. I have never had a problem getting change.

Great tip Ian.Ian wrote:£2 coins fit nicely in those old fashioned 35mm film canisters and are my choice of cash store.
A mixture from £2 down to 10p I would say, no need to give a vending machine/washer/dryer more than necessary.Arzosah wrote:Which coins are most useful in this context, pseudonym, 50p and 20p?

Re: Urban BOB
Thats a really good article, much more realistic for the UK rather than the usual run to the hills and hunt deer. Something I think all UK preppers need to take into account. As has been mentioned in another article, the UK is almost totally urban (Scotland not withstanding) your never very far from a major connurbation so planning on living in the wilderness is romantic nonesense.
