Hi all, nice to be part of the community.
I have always been very interested in doomsday senarios and being able to survive an aftermath from my early years. I was a born camper, went on my first ever camping trip when I was about 5-6, we stayed on the Lizard peninsular Cornwall, and that particular year, there some some horiffic weather down there, cloud bursts, flash flooding, high winds, lightening/thunder, you name it, everything mother nature could throw at us, I was petrified. I can remember the morning after getting out of my bag, to find that many tents including my own were blown down or blown away with the wind, I shall never forget that holiday. Since then I go camping whenever I can. This has taught me a few things, living without amenities, I love the thought of going back to the stone age and living off the land. Im the sort of person who can live without the things most of us take for granted. I really dont take to people who take silly little things for granted, i.e mobile phone, t.v, xbox, iPods, cars, ect ect, you get the picture, I could quite happily live without any of these. Im a keen explorist, love going out mountain climbing/walking, just taken up Geocaching as a little fun, love learning about the area I live in, (being new where I live), I love doing historical research, war research, my current research is learning about the former RAF Greenham Common Base (which i live just 0.5mi from the perimeter) as this is the first place I will be bugging out If I ever need to, have an intrest in bunkers, research on surviving all types of senarios and getting all geared up to do it, which has led me to this site to learn some more and get to know other fellow preppers
Cheers, Ben
