vacuum sealing

Post by skinhead »

so i've just got a vacuum sealer and to be honest the bags that came with it are flimsy at best , can anyone recommend a better product as the one i have is essentially a roll of very thin plastic like the kind of thing you get in a supermarket to put fresh fruit in. have done a few test bags with some veg,few slices of bread and some fruit just to see if everythings sealing ok but i really aint holding out much hope with these as the bags just dont seem up to it

If you want to use them on a daily basis (eg. not emergency storage) then the best ones in my opinion are the original seal-a-meal bags

For emergency long term storage - mylar bags

hope that helps
