BOV IDEA

Post by AlknowingLouie »

Hi all

I was thinking as I do alot about how to get to my BOL's now I know it would take me about 2 to my furest BOL and 30mins is my nearist.

Now my car is a good sized family car so I can get alot in there but I came with an idea.

I was driving down and saw a good sized horse box this got me thinking.

I could fit a bunkbed in that and have room for gear plus if all my BOL are usless at lest I have a temp base to take with me until I ind a safe spot.

has any one tried this yet? using a horse box to use like a mini caravan?

i can see where your coming from with this idea .
don`t you think it`ll be a bit on the big side to tow around .
if your thinking along those lines why not just get a caravan , at least its got a cooker and a decent bed , lots of storage and if your lucky a propper loo .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .

True it would be better but I'm thinking the size of it (if the roads are blocked with abandon cars if my car can squeeze though then a horse box can too as long it's not wider than the car) plus I would be a smaller target if you saw a caravan or a horse box you would attack the caravan for supples.

My plan is to try stray a small target look Like I have nothing.

If I was really hungry and I had a family to feed I just might go for the horse trailer over the caravan. ;)
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

I've been looking at them but would want one with a hard back... They vary in price ... MOD-sales

There are a few on the mod site and a hard version in tan..but the prices are starting prices. I'm selling my Harley and then see how much more I will need. They may be old but less electronics to go wrong :)
