Okay is £15.09 a good price for a lifestraw ive looked around and don't really see them for sale in the UK.
Granted it comes from South Korea so i will be waiting 3 weeks for delivery but i am in no hurry.

I feel like this would slide right in the bag and be very useful but never used on seems too good to be true, from what i see lots of kids use them in Africa.
Should i spin the wheel and get one and i can't find if they can go bad as i don't plan on using it i just want it incase i need it and i don't want it to expired or ineffective by the time i need it.

Going on a few reviews on Youtube, looks like a nifty bit of kit.
I've just bought myself a LifeSaver Bottle for £40 on eBay which should be coming in the next few days so no real need for me to get one of these atm.
I'll be interested to see your thoughts (if) you buy one!

I like the Lfesaver bottle but it does have a draw back in that it does have a shelf life, approx 2 years. However, a big advantage of it is that it has a fail safe system. At current prices they a great bit of kit.

unfortunately Lakeland Bushcraft has now shut, which is a shame, I know Mark and he's a good bloke, but that's by the by.

i guess i won't buy one then i wasn't planning on using it. It was to be stored or kept in bag for emergencies so it would have likely expired

The Life straw guarantees 5 years when stored at room temperature.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

However, I'm not sure if the Lifestraw has the same fail safe system as the bottle and that, to me, outweighs its shorter shelf life.
The reason I've mentioned the fail safe system is that there can be a danger of someone continuing to use a trusted method of filtering/purifying water while it isn't actually working properly, that does make me worry to the point I would rather throw away £40 every couple of years than rely on something that might not be working.
