I hate to disappoint but a friend had a multi tool that looked nearly identical to that one, it was really badly made and very flimsy.

Re: another ebay bargin
In my experience, anything that is 'multi-functional' tends to be at best a bit of a compromise. It's the old Jack of all trades, master of none conundrum!
Anything with detachable heads and gizmos tends to have an inherent weakness, as in these gizmos have a habit of doing just that, detaching when you're trying to use them.
It's lime these hollow handled 'Rambo knives' that have all the junk stuffed inside the handle. The handle is so light and flimsy it ruins the balance of the knife and makes it ridiculously weak too.
Better option is to buy the best you can afford of everything, and then in time you'll have a nice collection of kit that if looked after will last a lifetime.

Re: another ebay bargin
have tried to use the military issue folding shovel and even that is a pain to use, if you need to dig a real shovel is worth its weight, there are smaller "infantry shovels" and a pick that goes with them. they were what the army had for years. fairly small and light and occasionally come up on sites like ebay. any tool costing <£10 is likely to let you down at a time of need.

Re: another ebay bargin
Can't compromise on kit. If the kit is cheap you will end up paying twice.... I still get caught out ever now and again, but now I spend more time reading reviews and getting feedback from follow Preppers.
Thanks for the link, i keep forgetting about ebay, been using amazon later bought some good kit a few days ago will post reviews and pics when it all arrives.
