I have just finished reading the book with the above title, by E.T. Brown. It is a reprint of a 1940 book designed to get the most from your garden in austere times. Low input maximum output. Given our times, and the way most of us think here, this is a useful little book.
Unfortunately, the Author assumes we have more land at our disposal( back then they did) but I think a combination of deep bed/ modern plants/permaculture and the low input ideas in the book, may easily help(me) to raise output.
All in all a good little read. I got mine used from Amazon, 1p and £2.80 postage.
Anyone else read it?

Sounds interesting, I like the idea of permaculture and have looked at it. I will look out for this book.
