candle making on the cheap

Post by gregpreston »

i make candles from the stumps of altar candles i get for a small donation from the local church after the current price for a pack of 6 from a shop and only t light and dinner candles only being avaliable from local supermarkets, u can make them in varios sizes to suit ur needs but i make a few in the role from a toilet role these can be used for both light and a few lit together can be a small source of heat, so fellow preppers use and recycle these stumps and save pounds on these candles. i hope this thread helps :D :| :|

Great idea. I used to use the stumpy ends of my old candles on the wood burner as it was just getting going. Cheaper than firefighters and went up like the Fourth of July as it melted! :)
