Hello all
I am new to this and need some advice on what to do next.
So far my prepping has gone as far as,
learning how to catch small game and cooking it,
got tent, hiking bag, boots, warm clothing and other camping equipment (although may need one or two new bits), bivy bag,
also just bought a new car with a high mpg so I can get far away from cities and unsavoury people on a small tank of petrol, far enough to get well into the country side where there are less people and more animals and woods ect.
even chose my friends wisely as one friend owns a gun shop and is a 10min drive from me which will be the first stop point in case of emergency (have a route planned to get out of highly populated areas too), always keep water proofs, warm clothing and first aid kit in my car,
have at least 10 litres of bottled water in house at any one time along with 3 days worth of rice and canned food.
so now the question is what next? any advice would be much appreciated
oh and in case it isn't clear I am prepping for the break down of society (which will send us back to the dark ages) whether that be caused my economical break down, solar flare, asteroid or zombies.
Thanks

I would suggest learning to grow your own vegetables and fruit, maybe some guerrilla planting, practise preserving what you grow, alternative cooking methods. Store more food and maybe some caches on your way to wherever you are bugging out to.

You'll need to take care of medical issues ... your own and other peoples (makes you an attractive member of a community you may find when you bug out).

fuel will last 6 month and then go bad[/quote]
If you use a fuel stabiliser to treat it it will last up to 24 months (or rotate it out sooner)
Halfords Amazon etc stock them

In the UK you are not going to be able to run far, some level of civilisation is never more than 8 miles from you wherever you are.
Also remember that if you think it is a good idea to get out of town it is highly likely that you won't be alone.
The other priority to me looking at your post is to come back down to earth and have a really good read of these forum pages and realise there is a lot more to become prepared than running away and becoming a liability to yourself and others.

Go and use all that kit you already have. By knowing the best way to use your tent/purification tablets/hunting/cooking implements you will realise what you have too much of and too little of. Go camping in bad weather if possible & try light a fire!
