Newbie to the forum

Post by monergy1 »

Hi all,

As requested, this is my opening post.

My name is Tony and whilst i'm not a die hard prepper, have been working on a plan 'B' when the invertable happens and have looked at solar/battery back up for the essentials (freezer/lighting etc) along with a functional BOB and BOV in the form of a Disco 2 fitted with comms/storage/2nd battery and tools. I also have limited diesel and petrol storage so that even the next fuel strike will not prevent me from doing what i need to do. Family are bemused with me for spending money on all these areas. Whilst I realise it may be 'wasted' and could be spent on other necessities in life I am not daft enough to think that uk government are capable of 'protecting' our infrastructure as we may see very soon with under production of electricity during this or the next winter.

I'm hoping to gain some local to home (less US biased) prep ideas, and maybe make some friends on here.
