Was, well am watching the gadget show and saw this being advertised, it's a little hydrogen fuel cell. You fill it with a tiny amount of water and it reacts with the compound in the pukk. It aparantly lasts for 10 hours and then the pukk has to be replaced, but they only aparantly cost just over £1.50 so fairly easy to stockpile and can be used to charge devices through USB, so phones and small tablets and kindle etc.
