Northern Prepper

Post by Manclife »

Hi, been prepping in one form or another for many years and only started to formalise it (not sure that's the best way of explaining it). As well a good legal knowledge from my current job I spent several years as an outdoor instructor so hopefully will be able to bring something to the forum.

Looking froward to exchanging ideas.

Hobo
Got into prepping from my outdoor instructing days. Having kit in a bag ready to go at the drop of a hat and surviving in the outdoors with very little. Just didn't realise I was doing it at the time. Roll on many years I've now got 2 kids I take camping and being a bit of a geek started searching the intent for bush craft skill then rolled on to prepping sites. Turned out I was halfway there already.

I'm mainly prepping for short to mid term events and keeping my eye on the horizon for long term problems and when the SHTF events.

Just outside Manchester for the past 10 years though I've lived all over.

I'm up a bit from Manchester just off the M66. Close enough to a town to take advantage of it but far enough away to make a quick get away.
