Re: just found what i think is a gd buy!
I have one from somewhere else.
And, as my OH pointed out to me today, as it has a pointed end it would only dig a channel in the snow and take heck of a long time to clear. He has said I would be better off with a standard spade in my car. Fair point. So I've added my lady spade to my kit in the car.
Good for digging a pit to have a poo though if caught in traffic.

Better than nothing butt you can get two piece full size shovels

That would take up a Little more room

We have a couple of plastic snow scoops, but in the van I carry a shifting shovel as I like to call it, rather than a digging shovel or garden spade.
A couple of strips of carpet and some paracord is also useful, and very cheap

The OP one folds up if too much pressure is placed upon it ( guess how I know
) and being made of metal, gloves are required for use in the cold.
This one was used constantly for a week in Norway - can't praise them enough:

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Spade or shovel for car definitely. I have a nice big shovel at home which shifts snow very nicely. I can see these things being useful in some ways but they give up rigidity for portability.
