Kilner Jars.

Post by Brambles »

I'm always keeping my eye on prices for Kilner Jars. Went to Morrisons today and they have 500ml Kilner Jars at £1.50 each. Bagged a few for later in the summer :D

Last time Sainsbury's had an offer on Kilner jars the shelves were cleared in a day. I'll go take a look in Morrisons, thanks for the heads-up.

Wow. All of those beat the price I recently got some for. I will keep my eyes open. Sometimes you can find them in independent discount stores, too.

Morrisons have been carrying Kilner jars for some time, but unfortunately I have not seen the replacement lid seals.
I know that some of the larger garden centres carry a more extensive stock. But at Garden centre prices.

This has the cheapest sealing discs.

If you buy mulpile packs it works out cheaper than just about anywhere else, including Lakeland, Wilko, dunelm Mill and the supermarkets.

I brought a load home with me when I went to USA last year. $4 a pack.... Bonus! :D Will be bringing more back this year, maybe some jars too.

I didn't check the price, but I did notice that Wilkinsons have expanded their food preservation range tremendously including jam making pans, the full range of kilner jars (more or less) and all sorts. It might be worth nipping in for some product porn before you work out what you want to add to your collection.
